Seeing is Believing?
__________

opt ill 5-10

1. Follow the blinking pink dots with your eyes. You will see only the pink colored dots (some email systems may not show the blinking dots).

2. Now look at the + without moving your eyes and you will see a rotating green dot.

3. Stare at the + a while longer and the pink dots will slowly begin to disappear.

4. What's strange is that, in reality, the pink dots do not go away and there are no green dots...except in your mind!

Avoid false positives!

filtered Thio

Have you ever seen bacteria on a gram stain from the broth, only to find out that nothing grew out on the plate?

Did you know that dead bacteria can be present in your otherwise sterile broth as result of bacteria being present before the media was sterilized?

The presence of dead bacteria in your Thio can lead to false positive reports. Don't take that risk...

Insist that your Thio be filtered to remove dead bacteria. Insist that you use only Hardy Diagnostics Filtered Thio.

It takes more than money...

Health Care Costs
vs
Life Expectancy in the US

Life Expectancy 3
The Y axis shows the life expectancy in years. The X axis shows health care costs per person in 2007 for each nation.

The USA spends more than $7,300 per person per year for health care on the average. In contrast, Japan spends only about $2,600, and yet the life expectancy is 5 years longer than that of Americans.

Healthcare GDP

The above graph shows that America ranks number one in health care spending, which accounts for 16% of its overall GDP; and yet it ranks 42 in life expectancy !

It is true that the American practitioners of modern medicine have become very proficient at treating symptoms. As we see from the charts above, there is no doubt that this is a very lucrative way to practice medicine. But could it be that we are seriously lacking in the discovery of root causes of disease and the promotion of a holistic health approach?

For instance; has your doctor ordered a vitamin D blood test for you? Has he warned you of the dangers of trans fat consumption? Helped you with an exercise program? Do pediatricians ask how many sodas their patients drink every day? Has a healthy diet plan ever been recommended?

The average American now consumes 40 pounds of high fructose corn syrup every year (that number was zero in 1970); and an alarming 60 pounds of french fries annually.

In the long run, merely treating symptoms and prescribing pills will not take us down the road to better health. As long as massive fortunes are being made by perpetuating the existing treatment modes, we probably cannot rely on our health care industry in its current state to show us the way to optimal health. That will be left up to you and me as individuals.

CS Lewis

C. S. Lewis

Irish Born British Novelist and Theologian
Author of "The Chronicles of Narnia"
1898 ~ 1963

"Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you get neither."

"Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil."

"Experience: that most brutal of teachers. But you learn, my God do you learn."

"Has this world been so kind to you that you should leave with regret? There are better things ahead than any we leave behind."

"Humans are amphibians - half spirit and half animal. As spirits they belong to the eternal world, but as animals they inhabit time."

"Let's pray that the human race never escapes from Earth to spread its iniquity elsewhere."

"Nothing that you have not given away will ever be really yours."

"There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, "All right, then, have it your way.""

"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream."

"You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body."

"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me."
